Your questions:

1.  WHY IS CAMP X-RAY IMPORTANT?

2.  THESE ARE al Qaeda and Taliban - THE BAD GUYS, WHO CARES ABOUT THEIR RIGHTS?  WHAT ABOUT WHAT THEY DID TO US?

There is no question that the terrorist's crimes are despicable.  What they did to us deserves punishment.  The rights of the prisoners are important, however, for several reasons.  One, before we (the U.S.) start executing people we need to make sure that we have the right people.  So a fair trial is essential.  Secondly, if we violate the rights of prisoners, or let our government conduct punishments in secret against people who's identities are unknown and who have no legal representation then we are behaving just like so many of the rogue nations that we ourselves criticize.  Also, the world is watching.  How can the United States expect other countries to respect our views on Freedom and Democracy if we don't practice what we preach?  Lastly, all people, believed to be terrorists or not, are born with inalienable human rights.

3.  WHAT'S THE BIG DEAL ABOUT NOT HAVING "LEGAL COUNSEL"?

4.  THEY "HAVE NOT BEEN CHARGED" WITH CRIMES.  SO WHAT?

5.  WHAT'S THE GENEVA CONVENTION?  WHY DOES IT MATTER HERE?
